Today was a much better day overall with much lower levels of anxiety and depression. I had a call back from the NLP practitioner and will arrange to do a course of 5 evening sessions with her at the end of February. She's convinced that NLP will definately help.
I have to admit to being a little sceptical but will give anything a go.
Oh My God!
I decided to try something different at the gym today and had a go at a Body Combat class. I'm not sure what I was expecting, perhaps a cross between martial arts and music but it was way more intense than anything I could have prepared for. It combined a very high energy dance workout with martial arts and combat moves, punches and kicks.
It uses a completely different set of muscles than spinning and highlighted to me how little co-ordination I have. It took a little while to get into the flow and more often than not I was completely out of sync with everyone else but after about 20 minutes I got into the flow. I'll definately give it another go. I think I'm going to feel it tomorrow though :-)
