I'm back at work on Monday and can't believe I've been off for 2 weeks already, it's flown by.
I've had a nice relaxing time and feel suitably "chilled". I will admit to being very conscious that it was exactly a year ago that I let everything get to me.
I've come a long way since then but it has had it's costs. All the weight I lost in 2004 has come back and the clothes are tighter again :-o. In hindsight, I'd rather be happy than slim, although there's no reason not to have both. The sensible eating will start on Monday along with a new exercise plan. I'm not going to call it a diet as it can't be a short term fix, it has to be a change of lifestyle.
I will continue spinning but will also try and get out on my bike once a week for a decent cycle ride. I'm also going to give "Body Combat" a go too. This is a non impact mix of aerobics and martial arts moves. I guess it's as good a way as any of getting men to aerobics.
We're also going to spend some time and effort improving the house this year, we've put it off long enough and it really is starting to look very scruffy. The first step has to be to "de-clutter" and get rid of all the un-necessary junk we've accumulated. Some will go on ebay, some on freecycle and the rest to the tip. Time for Katie to put her "Dummy's guide to ebay.co.uk" to use.
