So there I was riding my motorbike back from Guildford to Basingstoke on the M3 following my latest CBT session this morning.
I came off the sliproad and went to change down a few gears on my bike but I found to my horror that my boot was hitting thin air! I looked down to see my gear change lever dangling by it's linkage.
A bit of quick thinking later and I decided the best thing to do was to keep moving and aim for the Suzuki dealer near to my office. I had to carefully nurse my bike, in 6th gear around a roundabout, through some traffic lights and across a dual carriageway...but I made it!.
It has now been bolted back on the the bolt has been treated with loctite. Looking online it seems like this is a common problem with the V-Strom.
