That's the only suitable word to describe the documentary/film that was on BBC1 last night. For an hour and a half I was completely mesmerised by "Deep Blue" a compilation of the best of the BBC's Blue Planet series set to music with some commentary from Michael Gambon.
There was amazing footage from in and around the oceans of the world from Killer Whales beaching themselves to get at the sea lion pups to a tiger shark feeding frenzy to a polar bear hunting and tons more. The photography was simply amazing and the commentary was very subtle.
I think this would be something the kids would love so I'm going to see how cheaply I can get it on DVD. I could write it myself onto my DVD recorder but the quality of photography was such that it deserves the best picture and sound possible.
