.....to be sitting in motorcycle gear slowly doing u-turns!
I struggled today, more than yesterday and I'm using the heat as an excuse, it was 33 degress C and I started to cook whenever we slowed or stopped. It really affected my concentration and I even made a mess of the emergency stops which I've been fine with until now.
Things I have to work on: pulling away smoothly, getting up to speed quickly, u-turns, more lifesavers.
I'm slowly getting the hand of the U-turns and reckon my success rate is up to about 20% from 10% yesterday.
Still - I have to focus on the positives and not the negatives. So, I've only been riding on the road for 4 hours: I passed my CBT, my gear changing is good, I'm not panicking round town or at junctions and roundabouts, my clutch control is very good, my balance is good, my road positioning is good, I haven't forgotten to cancel an indicator yet :-) and I managed 2 perfect emergency stops at the end of the session.
I think I'm going to see if I can get some ligher weight gloves and jacket for the really hot days (all 2 of them)
But I still say roll on friday :-)
