Motorbike Training Update

I started my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) - {not to be confused with CBT: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy} on Saturday morning.

I hadn't quite appreciated how far away Banbury was. It was only just over an hour and a half but nearly all of that was on the motorway.

Anyway, Pete Marshall, my instructor was a really nice and very thorough. I spent 2 hours riding round a playground but we all have to start somewhere :-). I must have stalled the bike at least 10 times before I finally got the hang of riding the clutch and pulling away smoothly. After that, everything dropped into place.

All the cycling I do seemed to help with my balance and I got on quite well with the low speed manoeuvers and the alien gear change  after a while.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend when I've got a session on Saturday and Sunday. I've got a B&B for the night so don't have to travel on both days.
