It's strange how I can wake up in a pretty good mood and then something very minor makes the mood swing right over to the other end of the spectrum.
Kira (youngest) plays around with her breakfast most mornings and is soooo slooow at eating it. This morning she'd been eating it for 20 minutes and had barely touched the surface of her cereal. She was putting the weetos in one at a time. Katie had told her to hurry up and so had I. Now I'm not known for having much patience so I did no more than took her cereal away and threw it in the bin. Told her the same would happen tomorrow if she didn't eat it quickly.
Everyone in the house then goes quiet because Dad's in a bad mood. How do you explain to a 4 year old that taking that long to eat a bowl of cereal is too long. Does she even understand?
I've now got to try really hard not to carry this into work where everyone would then think I'm just a moody git without knowing what else goes on before I make it to the office.
